12th Annual Conference on Health & Humanitarian Logistics (Sept 2020) – Presentation

The onset of COVID-19 highlights a genuine challenge: the need for existing systems to meet new demands while simultaneously sustaining product availability for existing routine services. The Zambian MoH has successfully anticipated the effects of an epidemic on routine supply chain operations and then developed and implemented measures to satisfy these new demands. Following that, this presentation looks at how the Zambian supply chain and eLMIS were effectively scaled to enable the distribution and monitoring of COVID-19 supplies and equipment while also supporting other services.
